It is based on the principle that a workout should be "FUN AND EASY TO DO" allowing participants to stick to the Zumba® Fitness program and achieve long-term health benefits. Zumba is a “feel-happy” workout that is great for both the body and the mind. Come on in and burn some calories while having the most fun sweating, a Zumba class will leave you walking with the music in your head and a smile on your face.

Zumba Gold is designed to be approachable by all populations, regardless of fitness level. Experience with dance is not required. Moves in class are broken down in a slow and manageable manner. The intention of the class is to move a little and have a lot of fun--even if you don't perform each move perfectly.
The biggest difference between Zumba Gold® and other Zumba classes is that Zumba gold is done at a much lower intensity. It's just as much fun just not as fast! Zumba Gold utilizes the same great Latin styles of music and dance allowing you time to learn the steps that are used in Zumba basic program. This easy-to-follow program allows anyone any age or any sex to be able to perform the Zumba Gold® dance moves. Some of the featured dances in this program are Salsa, Cha-Cha, Cumbia, Rock 'n Roll, and Merengue. In addition they also use such dances as the twist, the Charleston, belly dancing, flamenco and tango.
The Zumba Gold® program strives to improve our balance, strength, flexibility and most importantly, the heart. Exercise continues to be of critical importance to weight management, heart health, and balance. Zumba Gold falls under the category of endurance training, which keeps the heart healthy and the circulatory system strong.
